We are about jobs and independence.

Today, our diverse work force of 150 employees blind, visually impaired, and sighted is made up of men and women from all walks of life whose hard work and dedication serves as the foundation to our success.

Though a "not-for-profit", NYCIB operates like any other "for-profit" business. Minimal funds are received as grants or donations. Virtually all operating and capital expenditure funds are realized through sales of NYCIB's products and services to its customers.

NYCIB is associated with National Industries for the Blind (NIB) and manufactures AbilityOne/Skilcraft products under the JWOD (Javits-Wagner-O'Day) Program supplying the Federal government and military personnel with quality products. NYCIB is also affiliated with Industries for the Blind of New York State (IBNYS) supplying a broad range of products and services to New York City and New York state agencies.

We manufacture the following product lines

• Janitorial Products - Wet mops, dust mops, handles, brooms, brushes, gloves,etc.
• Textile items - sheets, towels, blankets, etc.
• Specialty - custom products
• Heat Sealed items -writing portfolios, pocket padfolios, pilot relief bags
• Patient Securing Straps for the US Military
